Schalldämmung des Führerhauses

Die Schalldämmung des Führerhauses ist eines der elementaren Dinge, die an einem Kurzhauber vernünftig gemacht gehört, sofern man sich beim Fahren auch gerne mal unterhalten möchte ohne den/die Mitfahrer ständig anbrüllen zu müssen. Erfahrungen aus früheren Reisen haben uns gelehrt, je leiser ein Fahrzeug, desto entspannter kommt man Abends- gerade bei anstrengenden Strecken/Etappen – an seinem Übernachtungsplatz an.

Ich erinnere mich da immer wieder an die marokkanische Strecke von Erg Chebbi in nach Zagora. Die gut 280km lange Piste entlang der algerischen Grenzlinie ist wunderschön, doch gegen Ende hatten uns damals, nach einem heißen und staubigen Tag, die letzten 50km über grobes Geröll und Wellblech den Rest gegeben.

So beschloss ich von Anfang an das Thema Isolierung zu priorisieren. Dazu habe ich das Fühererhaus komplett entkernt, was ja eh für die Lackierung schon notwendig war. Wo der Himmel schon raus war, konnte ich auch gleich die Löcher der demontierten Blaulichter zu schweißen.

Die Isolierung habe ich von einer Firma, die auch auf der Abenteuer Allrad Messe immer wieder als Aussteller vertreten ist und unter anderem Restaurationsbetriebe beliefert. Nicht ganz preiswert die Materialien, aber wenn es hilft…
Der Aufbau der Isolierung erfolgt aus zwei Schichten. Zuerst eine Schwerschichtmatte zur Körperschalldämmung und darauf ein Filz zur Luftschalldämmung.
Auf die gereinigten Bleche werden zuerst 2mm Schwerschichtmatten geklebt. Die 2mm Ausführung habe ich für Dach, Türen Rückwand und Motortrennwand verwendet, da man sie sehr gut verarbeiten und in kleinste Winkel und Ecken einfönen kann.

Dämmung Motortrennwand

Für den Boden habe ich 4mm Matten verwendet, die deutlich schlechter kleben und eigentlich nur auf geraden Flächen vernünftig verlegt werden können.
Diese habe ich zusätzlich per Pattex verklebt.

Hierauf folgt der erwähnte Filz (in Schwarz auf den Bildern erkennbar).

Den Zeitaufwand habe ich hierbei deutlich unterschätzt. Letztendlich sind mit den ganzen Zuschneide- und Klebearbeiten 4 volle Tage vergangen.

Der Unterschied vorher zu nachher ist aber sofort erlebbar. Simples Klopfen auf ein Stück behandeltes und unbehandeltes Blech ergibt ein echtes „Aha“-Erlebnis.
In alle Schaltmanschetten ist Filz eingeklebt worden, da diese mit unter anderem der größten Geräuscheintrag mit sich bringen.

Dadurch, dass ich Schwingsitze einbauen wollte, mussten zusätzlich noch größere Anpassungen im Führerhaus erfolgen. Der riesige Batteriekasten unter dem Beifahrer-Doppelsitz und der Kasten unterhalb des Fahrersitzes mussten weichen, da sonst die Schwingsitze zu hoch aufbauen würden.
Also ran mit der Flex und erst mal grob Luft schaffen. Die Batterien wollte ich im Führerhaus belassen, so habe ich den Kasten etwas verkleinert und einen neue Seitenwand eingeschweißt.
Auf der Beifahrerseite war das zwar weniger Blech, was zu entfernen war, aber die seitlich am Kasten angesetzte pneumatische Handbremse hat die Arbeit etwas komplizierter gemacht.  Die Druckschläuche waren genau im Weg – was ich beim Flexen auch sofort gemerkt habe. Pfffffff – diese Geräusche klingt immer schlecht, wenn man mit Druckluft Bremsen zu tun hat. Ich hatte aus Versehen die Druckleitung angeschlitzt und den Kurzen bis zur Reparatur erst mal fest an Ort und Stelle in der Garage „verankert“. Da die Schläuche eh im Weg umgingen habe ich neue Winkelanschlüsse eingebaut und das Druckluft-Rohr ersetzt.

Für die Aufnahmen des Sitzes habe ich je zwei neue Bodenbleche und zwei stabile 4-Kantrohre eingeschweißt. Sehen vertrauenserweckend aus und nehmen die Sitze auch gut auf.

Die Schwingsitze – ehemals blau, haben wir bei einem Sattler dann noch in Grün kariert überziehen lassen. Der Stoff ist aus den 70er Jahren Westfalia T2 Bussen und hat uns spontan gut gefallen. Ebenso wurde die Rückwand für den Kofferdurchstieg ausgeschnitten und mit samt des Himmels neu überzogen.
